We are looking for a Presales System Engineer (Junior and Senior) who has the ability to partner with sales reps, architect solutions and have a 'trusted advisor' relationship with the customer. You would be one of SE team supporting our sales reps. Your focus will be on the front-end of the sales process to help identify requirements, architect solutions and give demonstrations.
Your presales support responsibilities include explaining the features and benefits of the Hardware and Software solution; comparing it to those of a competitor's products; delivering product presentations to technical and management personnel and communicating with sales and product managers regarding customer needs.
Additional responsibilities include providing product demonstration and proof of concepts; handling technical presentations to customer, at trade shows and conferences; completing RFI/RFP; identifying client requirements and ensuring proactive communications with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.

Other Job Scope includes:

  • Regularly meet with existing clients to assess technology issues and develop solutions with our channel partner
  • Support solution design, at times in conjunction with our partners and principle
  • Continuously increase technical knowledge and skills through internal and partner training
  • Work with Sales Managers and other staff to design and deploy service offerings and build relationships with partners
  • Represent company at local conferences, sales and technical events
  • Provide Presales Support to Sales and Account Manager for hardware and software based solutions
  • Primary role for gathering technical information to develop provided solutions
  • Attend and acquire, on an ongoing basis, training sessions
  • Track, organize, and conduct projects and assignments efficiently
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customer technical contacts
  • Required Skills/Background:
  • Experienced as a System Engineer in Unix¬† (Sun Solaris, HPUX, IBM AIX, FreeBSD or Linux)
  • Or experienced with Network Security products such as Firewall, IPS, Antivirus, Antispam, Web Filtering

  • Good oral and written communication skills, including experience in writing documentation, assisting with SOW development, and written correspondence with customers and vendors
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required to for effective communication with internal team members, customers and vendors
  • Knowledge of SAN, iSCSI, and NAS technologies
  • Knowledge of Backup and Recovery technologies
  • Understanding of methodologies for achieving High Availability, including clustering;
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise security practices and products
